However, under certain specific circumstances someone might find this suggestion useful lol.I’m a fan. And yes I realise if you get a notification after your automation goes off but before the alarm it will probably wake you up…. I looked and sadly there is no trigger for the automation to be activated when the alarm is about to sound. This obviously only works if you have a time you can set the automation to go off. So for example if your alarm is always going to be set after 5am then you could schedule your automation to set your device volume to 70% at 5am and when your alarm goes off it will be at the desired volume. You can schedule this automation to occur at a specific time. You can create a “Shortcut” in the shortcut app which sets the volume to a specific level. Is it elegant, nope… should it work, yep… have I tried it, nope. If what you want is for your morning alarm to go off at a specific volume this should work…. However, under some circumstances this is a “solution”. I get mad every time one of these threads gets posted lmao You have ringer volume, you have alerts volume, you have system volume, you have the "change with buttons" toggle, where you also have a manual slider, and you have the two separate volume bars in the control center. INB4 the dickheads that always act like it's the simplest thing in the world and why would you want to do turn the ringer off just adjust the volume in the control center why not just adjust the volume in the sound settings blah blah blah. This should be a huge goddamn red flag to the assholes in Cupertino. There have been dozens and dozens and dozens of posts for YEARS about how people were late for work or meetings because they didn't realize that the volume wasn't set correctly for the ALARM instead of the ALERTS and the SYSTEM VOLUME. It is so goddamn unintuitive that I just use a regular alarm clock because I'm never really sure what the fuck is going to happen. I fucking HATE how iOS does volume controls.
